DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IN CALIFORNIA, MARYLAND, NEW YORK AND PENNSYLVANIA FOR BREAST CANCER SCREENING AND DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
BALTIMORE (February 11, 2009) The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF), a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to providing direct financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured individuals for diagnostic tests to aid in the early detection and survival of breast cancer, announced today that funding is presently available for women and men in California, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania in need of screening services for breast cancer. The best defense against breast cancer today is early detection and treatment.
We are here to provide real help right now when people need it the most, said Phyllis Wolf, co-founder and president of ABCF. We believe that everyone deserves a fighting chance. Although it is more uncommon for younger women and rare for men– they too can have breast cancer. We urge all those in need to call ABCF today.

To best serve all populations throughout the US, ABCF accommodates most languages through a third-party translation service and has Spanish-speaking staff available.
ABCFs Key to Life Breast Cancer Assistance Program provides direct assistance in the form of financial grants for annual mammogram screenings and breast cancer diagnostic tests to find or rule out breast cancer. Each year, approximately 10,000 women and men nationwide receive services through the Key to Life Breast Cancer Assistance Program. Breast cancer patients may also be eligible for support items such as wigs, prosthesis and medications.
