I was diagnosed with breast cancer during my third year of law school and just two weeks before my 29th birthday. I had detected my lump over a year and a half earlier but never thought in a million years that someone of my age could get breast cancer. What a shock for my husband, my family, and myself! I am so thankful that I did not have an aggressive tumor and thus, the year and a half wait was not detrimental. Now, after surviving dose dense chemo and 7 weeks of radiation, I feel fantastic. Feeling good was something I always took for granted. You never really appreciate how wonderful it is just to feel good until you have felt so sick from treatments. I graduated from law school this past May and now am moving on with my life. I turn 30 in November - I am really looking foward to it! I am excited for my future - I fought for it. And if I have to, I'll fight again, and again, and again. Good luck to every woman who has battled or is in the process of battling this disease. Your strength is inspiration to all. Remember - no matter how steep the mountain ahead looks, you can climb it!
