“Fashion Saves Lives  a Huge Hit”

On January 14, 2014, more than 225 people came to Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore for The American Breast Cancer Foundation’s (ABCF) inaugural “Fashion Saves Lives” event.  Proceeds from the event will be used to support ABCF’s program, which funds early detection screenings and diagnostic tests for the uninsured and underserved, regardless of age or gender.  Models included 10 beautiful breast cancer survivors, Baltimore Raven Ed Dickson, news personalities Sarah Caldwell of WBAL-TV and Sharon Gibala of WJZ-TV, and international fitness expert Lynne Brick.  Jones and Jones of Cross Keys, and Jos. A. Bank provided the clothing, while FX Studios of Hunt Valley provided hair and make-up stylists to ensure a flawless production.  For photos from the event, click here


Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake Issues Proclamation Recognizing ABCF's Fashion Saves Lives Event Now Rescheduled for January 14th.

In recognizing ABCF's Fashion Saves Lives fashion show event, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake issued a certificate of recognition, which stated, "Increasing the survivability of breast cancer through awareness and early diagnostic testing punctuates the importance of funding programs that work together to share information and provide greater access to services.
As mayor, I offer my sincere appreciation and support of this important event to continue the fight against breast cancer."

“Fashion Saves Lives” Focuses the Community on the Beauty of Early Detection

On January 14th, over 225 attendees enjoyed The American Breast Cancer Foundation’s (ABCF) inaugural “Fashion Saves Lives” fashion event at Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore.  The night raised more than $10,000 in support of the organization’s mission of providing direct financial support for early detection screenings and diagnostic tests to those who could not otherwise afford them, regardless of age or gender.
